Switching from an HRA to an HSA

Beginning with the 2010 enrollment, if you are currently enrolled in the Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and wish to enroll in the Health Savings Account option, you will lose your HRA balance if there is any at the end of 2009. The "limited" HRA account will no longer be available.

This does not apply if you switched from the HRA to the HSA in 2008 or 2009. Your limited HRA for your dental and vision expenses will continue to be available until you use the balance.
