Your coinsurance will be determined by what kind of physician you see and where you receive a service. For example, if you're in the hospital and your PCP treats you there, your coinsurance will be for "other services." There are three different coinsurance levels:
- PCP Office Care: Services provided by a Primary Care Physician (PCP) in his or her office. A PCP can be a family, general, or internal practitioner, or a pediatrician.
- Specialty Office/ER Care: Services provided by any other physician or in an emergency room.
- Other Services: Services including surgery, hospitalization, laboratory services, X-rays, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, durable medical equipment, and more.
