Trying to decide which plan is right for you? Here are some general ideas about who might find each of the plans appealing.


The Health Savings Account provides full tax exemption and permits catch-up contributions for older workers. Desirable savings vehicle for retiree medical.


The Health Reimbursement Arrangement provides first dollar coverage for preventive care. Part of the up-front deductible funded by the company, with the opportunity to save for future years (HRA rollover).


The Basic Plan has no deductible for preventive and routine office care. Expensive services covered at a lower coinsurance after a deductible. Relatively low out-of-pocket maximum in case of catastrophic needs.


The Comprehensive Plan has the richest coverage, but higher employee contributions.
