Not sure how to invest your money? Is managing risk more than you can handle? Is diversification a mystery to you?
If you’re looking to take the guesswork out of managing and investing the money you’re contributing to the Alcoa Savings Plan, the Barclays Global Investors LifePath® Portfolios may be just what you need.
The LifePath® Portfolios are targeted retirement date funds, designed as complete investment solutions for retirement plan participants. Choosing just one LifePath® portfolio will provide a diversified, professionally managed retirement strategy.
Each LifePath® Portfolio is targeted toward the year you want to retire. There are six LifePath® Portfolio options:
- LifePath® 2010
- LifePath® 2020
- LifePath® 2030
- LifePath® 2040
- LifePath® 2050
- LifePath® Retirement (designed for participants who are already at or near retirement)
You simply choose the portfolio that most closely matches the year you want to retire (or the year in which you’d like to access your funds). As the target year approaches, the investment managers at Barclays Global gradually adjust the portfolio’s mix. Their goal is to try to maximize your return for the level of risk that is appropriate for each stage of your life.
Instead of trying to manage your Alcoa Savings Plan investments yourself, a LifePath® option requires just one decision: When do you plan to retire? Based on that, you can make one investment election that is professionally managed from today to your retirement.
